Marble Stain Removal

Most stains on natural stone can be removed. The stain pictured below was caused by wood stain dust during construction. The dust had settled on the surface. A worker left his cold cup of soda on the top. The dust reacted with the water condensation and seeped into the surface which later dried.

A poultice was applied, and 24 hours later - Voila! - gone. No resurfacing was necessary for this particular stain. Though most times it is needed and should be performed by a qualified stone restoration company.

For more information of how to use and make a poultice to remove a stain, please consult the Stain Chart. ready made poultices can also be purchased through stone distributors online or at hardware stores. Just be sure to use the right type of poultice pertaining to the stain.
